FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

3RD FLO RUNNIN’ FOR IT WITH 101 DISTRIBUTION

(Atlanta, GA) – Coming off the heels of their infectious dance banger “Do The Heizman,” 3rd Flo returns to the independent scene with their latest single “Runnin’ For It,” exclusively available through One In A Million Records and 101 Distribution.

Runnin’ For It” is an inspirational smash that energetically, and effectively, delivers the message of anything can be accomplished as long as you “get up and work hard at it.”

“[It] was definitely influenced by a number of situations,” explains group members D-Ray and Cap. “You have the presidential election that just took place, the failing economy, and the intensified competition in the rap game now that everyone feels they can rap. The term ‘1, 2, ready, set’ is used comparing the situation to a race, saying that these days you can’t walk but you must run for what you wish to accomplish because there are many more who want the same position that you are aiming to for.”

In addition to “Runnin’ For It,” the Atlanta based rap trio (also consisting of rapper D-Nell) have included the hypnotic “You Know What It Do” as the b-side.

This monumental release also marks their official debut with One In A Million Records, a blossoming independent label that’s also based in the hip-hop mecca of Atlanta. Angela McMillion, CEO of One In A Million Records, has followed 3rd Flo since 2006 when they performed during a talent show at Albany State University. She’s been involved with them ever since.

The group is different, unique, and a breath of fresh air from what most people are accustomed to on the Hip Hop/Rap/R&B scene,” Al Benson, COO says. “They have the look, the swag, and the talent that has not been seen in quite a while.  They are the men that all the ladies want to be with, and all the fellas want to be like. Their music has a wide cross over appeal, but more than anything their music is relevant, their lyrics meaningful, and their flow together as a group is serious.”

With over 2.7 million hits on YouTube, 1.6 million plays on MySpace, and radio play in states from California to New York, it seems that 3rd Flo is living up to the message of their record.

If you’re not working for it then it’s probably not worth it,” D-Nell says.  “It’s letting people know that, yea it’s looking pretty bad out here as far as the economy is concerned but there are many people who are still accomplishing goals everyday, President Obama proved it to a nation, and you can be one that can accomplish anything you set your mind to.
